Before you say it…yes I know it’s a bit hypocritical…but his eyes were just so big and cute! Hear me out, ok? This lil winged youngling was digging through the garbage behind our shop. His snout was covered in some magical, glittery stuff that Gregoria uses in her wand crafting. We don’t normally see dragons in this region, let alone baby dragons!
I looked into it, and I’m pretty sure this little one was orphaned when an adventuring party coming through killed his ma to get to some magical artifact or something. Anyway, this little one wandered out of his stronghold home looking for food, and happened to find me. Yes, I know dragons are bloodthirsty creatures that will eat your friends and family…but…I named him Missy and he seemed to like it. That’s got to mean something right!? The fact that a dragon can understand the meaning of a name and that he likes it!?
Well, I actually don’t know too much about dragons save for that incident with my lamb friend when I was a young dwarf. I talked to Gregoria about it and she mumbled something about dragons having a higher intelligence than most dwarves, but I think I misheard her. Anywho, it sounds like I can keep little Missy around! He’s the sweetest little thing, he loves to cuddle, and already knows how to fetch! I’ve been using mage hand to play fetch with him in an area just out of town. Missy can’t fly yet, but I can tell he’s trying really hard to learn. He flaps his wings but doesn’t seem to have enough strength to get himself up off the ground.
He really likes sheep meat, so I’ve been making rounds to different ranches nearby striking up deals with the owners to throw me their weakest sheep every once in a while, in exchange for protection when Missy learns how to breathe fire that is. What? Don’t look at me like that…little Missy’s gotta eat somehow!
I’ll keep you guys updated on Missy as he grows up…I feel like such a proud dragon dad!
